Investment Analyst

Based in Singapore, the primary focus of this role is to maintain and improve the depth of Asia equities research with a primary focus on India.

Investment Analysis

·        Produce company analysis reports on Asian, including emerging markets,stocks.

·        Perform fundamental analysis to assess the intrinsic value of companies and identify investment

opportunities.

·        Undertake regular company visits globally, as required.

·        Utilize various valuation techniques to support investment recommendations.

·        Participate in client meetings and maintain equity fund presentations.

·        Write comprehensive research reports summarizing findings, investment thesis, and recommendations for

internal stakeholders and clients.

·        Present research findings to investment teams and clients, articulating key insights and supporting data.

·        Assist with semi-annual client letter write-ups and monthly portfolio performance summaries.

·        Work closely with portfolio managers and traders to provide research support and insights that inform

investment decisions.

Responsibilities to the FSSA Investment Managers Team

·        Demonstrate commitment to the broader investment team.

·        Communicate ideas collaboratively and actively with the wider FSSA investment team.

·        Mentor junior analysts and interns, providing guidance on research methodologies and best practices.

·        Participate in team initiatives to enhance research processes and improve overall efficiency.

Your skills

Fluent in both spoken and written English, fluency in a second language preferred

Strong academic background with master’s Degree

A track record in equities research and Indian equities specifically

A good understanding of the asset management business and fundamental financial analysis

Can work well under pressure, is able to multi-task and prioritise - working to multiple deadlines

Knowledgeable, adaptive and with good problem-solving skills to be able to effectively deal with the varied requests made from different business units

Sound interpersonal and client servicing skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve/collate communication details and enhance cooperation amongst different parties

A motivated team-player who is driven with a disciplined attention to detail

Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications, and in particular, Bloomberg, FactSet and PowerPoint
