Project Manager (Food & Agribusiness Trading) (Ref: 37869)

Our client is a reputable Japanese trading company. They are looking for a Project Manager for the Food & Agribusiness Department.

【 Responsibilities 】

Handle sales activities for agricultural commodities, including soybeans, corn and soybean meal.

Oversee credit control and account-related matters, including monitoring and following up on accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Assist with bulk shipping operations and coordinate logistics arrangements.

Ensure the smooth and timely coordination of all logistics-related activities.

Lead and supervise departmental teams, including reviewing budget requirements, developing departmental strategies and supporting the development of team members.

Identify, evaluate and launch new initiatives to expand agricultural commodity sales across North Asia and Southeast Asia.

Work closely with colleagues at the Japan headquarters on various projects and business initiatives.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

【 Requirements & Preferences 】

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Agribusiness or a related discipline.

5–7 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the trading industry.

Willingness to travel for business approximately 1–2 times every 2–3 months.

Ability to work effectively across different countries, business sectors and cultural environments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters Eikon or similar market information platforms.
