Data Developer

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis

Work with Business Analysts and business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate reporting requirements.

Understand data sources, mappings, transformation logic, and reporting requirements.

Report Development

Design and develop approximately 100 reports using agreed reporting tools and frameworks.

Develop reports using SQL, PySpark, data transformation, and ETL processes.

Ensure reports meet business requirements, data accuracy standards, and banking controls.

Testing & UAT

Prepare test scenarios and test cases for report validation.

Support SIT/UAT, investigate data discrepancies, troubleshoot defects, and implement fixes.

Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure reporting accuracy.

Deployment & Production Support

Deploy reports to production following established change management and release processes.

Maintain deployment documentation and rollback procedures.

Troubleshoot and resolve production reporting issues within agreed timelines.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

Work closely with Business Analysts, developers, QA teams, business users, and bank technology teams.

Coordinate system access and environment requirements.

Provide regular project and delivery updates.

Lead and coordinate a team of 6+ members, where required.

Required Skills & Experience

3–7 years of relevant IT development/reporting experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on report development experience.

Strong experience developing reports for banking, financial services, or trading systems.

Strong hands-on skills in SQL, PySpark, data transformation, and ETL.

Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.

Understanding of stock trading workflows and financial data structures.

Experience with SIT/UAT, data validation, defect resolution, and production deployment.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience working with Business Analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Prior experience leading or coordinating a team of 6+ members is preferred.

Nice to Have

Experience in credit pool model projects or time-based service engagements.

Previous experience working in a banking technical environment.

Knowledge of banking controls, compliance, and change management processes.

Strong documentation and communication skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.

Proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail.
