Job Description: AI Engineer

As an AI Engineer at D-SIMLAB Technologies, you will work on the development and deployment of AI-driven software solutions for world-leading semiconductor manufacturers. You will be involved in applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and software engineering techniques to solve complex manufacturing and operational challenges.

This role goes beyond model development. You will work closely with Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and customers to translate real-world business and manufacturing requirements into practical AI solutions. You will also gain valuable exposure to client consultation, solution deployment, and international semiconductor manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI/ML Solution Development

Design, develop, and implement AI and machine learning solutions to address real-world problems in semiconductor manufacturing.

Develop and optimize machine learning models, algorithms, and data-driven solutions for areas such as production optimization, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, forecasting, and process improvement.

Experiment with different AI/ML approaches and evaluate model performance, accuracy, scalability, and robustness.

Translate business and manufacturing requirements into practical AI solutions.

2. AI Product Development & Integration

Integrate AI/ML models into D-SIMLAB's existing software products and simulation platforms.

Develop AI-powered features and intelligent automation capabilities to enhance product functionality and user experience.

Work closely with Software Engineers to design APIs, services, and software components required for AI model deployment.

Contribute to the end-to-end AI development lifecycle, from data preparation and model development to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

3. Data Processing & Analysis

Collect, clean, transform, and analyze large-scale datasets generated from semiconductor manufacturing environments.

Identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies in manufacturing data.

Develop efficient data pipelines and preprocessing workflows to support AI/ML applications.

Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability for model development and production use.

4. Generative AI & Emerging Technologies

Explore and evaluate emerging AI technologies, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents, where relevant to business and customer needs.

Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to assess the practical application of new AI technologies.

Stay updated with the latest developments in AI/ML and identify opportunities to enhance D-SIMLAB's products and solutions.

5. Software Engineering & AI Deployment

Develop and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance software components supporting AI applications.

Apply software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, debugging, code review, and CI/CD.

Deploy AI/ML solutions in production and customer environments.

Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize the performance and reliability of deployed AI solutions.

6. Client Consultation & Project Delivery

Work directly with customers to understand their technical and operational requirements.

Provide technical consultation on the application and implementation of AI and data-driven solutions.

Support the deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of solutions at semiconductor manufacturing sites.

Communicate technical concepts and AI solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

7. Collaboration & Innovation

Collaborate with Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Simulation Engineers, and domain experts in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.

Contribute ideas and technical solutions to improve existing products and develop new capabilities.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, product quality, and customer value through AI technologies.

Candidate Requirements

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Diploma holders with strong relevant experience in AI/ML or software development are also encouraged to apply.

Work Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience applying AI/ML to real-world business or industrial problems is an advantage.

Experience in the semiconductor, manufacturing, industrial automation, or simulation domain is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Strong programming skills in Python and C#/.NET.

Good knowledge of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and algorithms.

Strong understanding of SQL, data processing, and data analysis.

Experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments is an advantage.

Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, or AI agents is a strong advantage.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work with large and complex datasets and identify meaningful insights.

Ability to understand complex technical problems and develop practical, scalable solutions.

Strong interest in applying AI technology to solve real-world industrial problems.

Communication & Client Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to explain technical concepts and AI solutions clearly to customers and non-technical stakeholders.

Comfortable working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.

Adaptability & Willingness to Travel

Willingness to travel internationally and work on challenging projects at semiconductor manufacturing sites.

Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively under pressure.

Willingness to work closely with global customers and support project delivery
