Location: Redhill

Responsibilities

Responsible in leading the technical coordination and design management aspects of construction projects.

Lead and manage a team of Design/Coordination Engineers in coordinating design drawings with consultants, ensuring compliance with authority regulations and project specifications.

Act as the key liaison between consultants, clients, contractors, and authorities on all design-related matters.

Guide the team in preparing technical submissions, including shop drawings, material approvals, and method statements for construction.

Coordinate and monitor submission processes to local authorities to ensure compliance and timely approvals.

Lead the resolution of design and technical issues encountered during construction by liaising with Architectural and M&E teams, consultants, and relevant authorities.

Review and address technical queries by raising Requests for Approval (RFA) and Requests for Information (RFI) to the relevant parties for design clarification.

Initiate and evaluate value engineering proposals to enhance project delivery in terms of cost-effectiveness, safety, constructability, and quality.

Requirements

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Relevant experience in building construction for commercial, industrial, mixed development or high rise private residential projects, preferably with A1 main contractors.

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a construction or engineering consultancy environment.

Strong knowledge of local building codes, authority regulations, and construction methodologies.
