EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER

Job Role & Responsibilities

Plan and carry out the daily programme, developmental and care-giving tasks as assigned

Attend to the health, hygiene and safety needs of the infants

Create a safe environment and provide the best possible care to infants under their care

Build and maintain good rapport with parents

Job Requirements

Obtained at least a Certificate in Infant/Toddler Care and Development, or Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (with certificate in Infant/Toddler Care) or its equivalent

First Aid Certificate recognized by ECDA

Minimum 2 years experience in similar setting

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Conduct activities to promote children’s learning and development such as reading, singing and interaction.

Ensure and document infant developmental milestones

Provide custodial care Evaluation of infant such as observe infant’s performance, behavior, social developments and physical health

Conduct assessment of infant’s abilities and progression

Ensure classroom, equipment and facilities are clean, well-maintained, safe and secure

Communication with parents on school’s activities and progress of infant
