Senior Material Planner

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts on planning, delivery, and supply-related matters.

Respond to customer inquiries professionally and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Monitor customer demand and collaborate with internal teams to manage changes in demand and supply requirements.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure loading and supply plans meet business requirements.

Analyse material availability and material flow to support production and customer delivery requirements.

Prepare and manage production and cell planning schedules to achieve on-time delivery.

Work closely with logistics, warehouse, and production teams to plan, expedite, and ensure smooth material movement.

Manage inventory levels in line with safety stock targets and FIFO requirements.

Monitor excess and obsolete inventory and support initiatives to minimise inventory write-offs and quarterly scrap.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve planning, scheduling, material, and shipment-related issues.

Utilise Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis techniques to support forecasting and planning activities.

Perform other ad-hoc planning and supply chain duties as assigned.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in demand planning, material planning, production planning, or supply chain.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of inventory management and production planning.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel,

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred knowledge on SAP B1
