The Company

Our client is a well-established player in the F&B, Hospitality and Events scene in Singapore. As they continue to expand and grow their presence, they are seeking a Finance Manager/Senior Manager to lead the venue’s financial operations and provide strategic support to the General Manager and leadership team. This is an opportunity to establish the finance function for a new venue and play an important role in its operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and long-term commercial success.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on, meticulous, and adaptable finance professional who is comfortable working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

The Role

Reporting directly to Finance Director, you will play a critical role in establishing and managing the financial operations of this newly launched venue. Working closely with senior leadership, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, controls, commercial analysis, and stakeholder management across multiple revenue streams including venue operations, event rentals, F&B outlets, retail tenancies, and sponsorship activities.

This is an opportunity to join the business during its formative stage and build scalable finance processes that support long-term growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Systems and Reporting

Establish and maintain Singapore-compliant ERP and accounting systems.

Integrate point-of-sale and mobile-ordering platforms with local payment gateways.

Develop and manage operating budgets, capital budgets, cash flow forecasts, and venue-level profit and loss statements.

Prepare timely monthly and quarterly financial reporting packs for leadership.

Manage financial settlement processes across ticketing, food and beverage, venue hire, and other commercial activities.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in accordance with group reporting timelines.

Manage both operational and capital expenditure planning.

Analyse monthly and quarterly financial performance against forecasts.

Identify financial risks, commercial opportunities, and areas for improved efficiency.

Provide clear and actionable financial insights to support management decisions.

Compliance, Controls and Audit

Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and relevant IRAS, GST, CPF, MOM, and taxation requirements.

Develop, implement, and maintain effective finance policies and procedures.

Ensure appropriate controls are in place to safeguard company assets and financial information.

Maintain appropriate data-handling practices in accordance with PDPA requirements.

Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure the venue remains audit-ready.

Support compliance with the organisation’s internal control and governance requirements.

Taxation and Treasury

Manage statutory taxation responsibilities in Singapore.

Oversee cash flow planning, working capital, banking relationships, and treasury activities.

Reconcile revenue collected through point-of-sale and mobile-ordering systems with payment platforms such as NETS, PayNow, GrabPay, and credit cards.

Payroll

Manage the venue’s payroll process and related financial controls.

Ensure payroll systems are effectively integrated with relevant ERP and operational platforms.

Maintain compliance with Singapore payroll, CPF, and MOM requirements.

Prepare payroll reports for financial monitoring and management review.

Business Partnering and Vendor Management

Partner closely with the General Manager, Operations, and Commercial teams to align financial plans with business priorities.

Review, negotiate, and oversee vendor, supplier, contractor, and venue-hire agreements.

Provide financial guidance on contracts, licensing arrangements, and new commercial initiatives.

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Mentor finance team members and promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following relevant skills sets and experience:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

Minimum 7-10 years of progressive finance experience.

Prior experience in hospitality, entertainment, venue management, events, retail, commercial real estate, leisure, cinema, or mixed-use facilities will be highly advantageous.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.

Experience managing multiple revenue streams and operational business units.

Hands-on approach with the ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Familiar with ERP and POS systems.
