Resident Engineer (Civil & Structural)

Job Summary

Provide on-site supervision and management for civil and structural construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulations, and coordination among contractors, consultants, and external parties.

Responsibilities

Supervise civil and structural construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, construction drawings, and the Building Control Act and Regulations

Manage and lead a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officers to ensure effective performance and accountability on site

Maintain and submit accurate records of works, materials, and equipment used on site

Attend and document meetings, including taking minutes and facilitating communication among contractors, consultants, and external parties such as neighboring contractors and utility companies

Coordinate contractor activities to align with project timelines and stakeholder requirements

Required competencies and certifications

Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore

Registered Resident Engineer with BCA, IES, or ACES

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Proficiency in English to communicate effectively in meetings and documentation

Competent in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel) to prepare reports and records
