Senior Enterprise Software Specialist (OutSystems) - #1623

What You Will Be Working On

You will join as an Augmented Resource (AR), serving as a Senior Enterprise Software Specialist responsible for designing, developing and delivering enterprise web applications on the OutSystems platform. Working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects and implementation partners, you will build legal technology solutions that support Deputy Public Prosecutors, lawyers and legal officers in document automation, bundling, table of contents generation and AI/LLM-enabled legal productivity use cases.

As a senior member of the OutSystems engineering team, you will contribute to the continuous evolution of OutSystems low-code platform by evaluating platform capabilities, promoting engineering best practices and establishing reusable solution patterns, implementation guidelines and development standards.

This is a hands-on engineering role where the majority of your time will be spent designing, developing and configuring OutSystems applications using platform capabilities, reusable components, integrations, security controls and DevSecOps practices. You will also contribute to technical reviews, mentor junior engineers and work with implementation partners to ensure engineering best practices are applied throughout the software development lifecycle.

·       Design, develop and implement enterprise applications using OutSystems 11 / ODC, including Reactive Web Apps, Service Modules, Core Services, Integrations and reusable UI patterns.

·       Design and deliver OutSystems applications that support legal work and AI-assisted drafting or review using LLM capabilities integrated with AWS Bedrock models.

·       Maintain, support and enhance existing OutSystems applications and platform components, including production issue resolution, minor enhancements, environment support, release coordination and ongoing platform health monitoring.

·       Plan and support the migration of existing applications from OutSystems 11 (O11) to OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC), including application assessment, dependency review, remediation, testing and migration readiness.

·       Set up and develop applications on OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC), including environment configuration, application architecture, reusable components, integrations, deployment and development standards.

·       Translate business requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable OutSystems solutions, maximising reusable platform patterns before custom development.

·       Develop reusable application components, Blocks, Server Actions, Client Actions, APIs, integration patterns and shared service modules.

·       Integrate OutSystems with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, enterprise databases, AWS-hosted services and other internal platforms using REST APIs, authentication flows and secure integration patterns.

·       Conduct technical reviews, mentor engineers and review vendor deliverables to improve engineering quality, maintainability and production readiness.

·       Evaluate new OutSystems platform capabilities and contribute to engineering standards, implementation guidelines, reusable development playbooks and release practices.

·       Ensure solutions comply with security, IM8, enterprise architecture, accessibility, audit logging and data governance requirements.

What We Are Looking For

Education and Experience

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.

·       Minimum 7 years of enterprise software engineering experience.

·       Minimum 5 years of hands-on OutSystems development experience, preferably on OutSystems 11 and/or OutSystems Developer Cloud.

·       Experience delivering enterprise low-code web applications, legal document automation, AI/LLM-enabled digital services, integrations or productivity tools for Legal or similar professional domains.

·       Experience working in Agile and Product teams and collaborating with implementation partners, platform owners and technical architects.

Technical Skills

·       Strong OutSystems development skills including Reactive Web Apps, Screens, Blocks, Client Actions, Server Actions, Entities, Aggregates, Advanced SQL, Timers, integrations and Exception Handling.

·       Experience with OutSystems architecture patterns including foundation modules, core services, end-user modules, producer-consumer dependencies, reusable components and application layering.

·       Experience with integration and security patterns including REST APIs, JSON, authentication, authorisation, role-based access control, SSO / identity integration and secure secrets handling.

·       Implementation experience in enterprise OutSystems web applications, preferably involving legal document processing, document bundling, table of contents generation, AI/LLM integrations, AWS Bedrock integration and secure role-based access control.

·       Knowledge of OutSystems Service Center, LifeTime, deployment planning, environment management, version control, CI/CD, code review and DevSecOps practices.

Certifications (Mandatory)

·       OutSystems Associate Reactive Developer certification or equivalent hands-on experience.

·       OutSystems Professional Developer / Tech Lead certification is highly desirable.

·       Additional certifications in cloud, DevSecOps, software architecture, security or Agile delivery are advantageous.
