Job Description
You’ll have the opportunity to work within our Life Sciences team, supporting the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical facilities and clean utility systems in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment. You will contribute to the safe and compliant performance of utility equipment, lead technical troubleshooting activities, and support improvements throughout the equipment lifecycle.
ABOUT THE JOB
Support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical utility systems in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
Provide technical support for clean utility equipment, including chillers, boilers, Water for Injection (WFI), clean steam, and other critical utility systems
Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment failures, performance issues, and operational deviations
Lead and manage change-control activities relating to new utility equipment, system modifications, and project activities
Support the planning, execution, and review of maintenance activities for utility equipment
Ensure that maintenance and troubleshooting activities are completed in accordance with site procedures, GMP requirements, and health and safety standards
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and Maintenance teams to maintain equipment readiness and operational continuity
Review equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and compliance
Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation related to utility operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and change management
Support continuous improvement initiatives and other facilities engineering activities as required
ABOUT YOU
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in facilities, utilities, maintenance, or engineering roles within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
Hands-on experience with clean utility systems, including chillers, boilers, WFI, clean steam, and other critical utility equipment
Strong knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility equipment
Experience leading or supporting change-control activities for equipment upgrades, modifications, or new utility installations
Ability to perform structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment failures and operational issues
Good understanding of GMP requirements, engineering documentation, and change-management processes
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and quality teams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
