Responsibilities

Originate and develop creative design concepts and the design documents during the design development phase

Develop solutions to design and detailing issues

Support the resolution of design solutions during the construction documents and construction administration phases

Oversee project team members or less experienced designers to ensure design intent

Ensure project is on schedule and within budget

Ensure that documentation for all phases conforms to quality assurance, quality control and best practice standards

Set up project team software parameters and manage standards

Communicate with client representatives to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and design delivery

Prepare client presentations and present design concepts and drawings

Provide technical support and project communications to the team as required

Attend on-site visits and client meetings to verify design requirements and deliver design progress reviews

Qualities and skills required

Minimum Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree/Master's Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution registrable with BOA or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field

Advanced design, visual, and graphic presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to manage the design of small to large projects to fruition

Well-versed with contract admin, local Authorities regulations and codes, and knowledge of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)/Corenet-X

Conversant with REVIT and 3D Software

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
