Fitch Solutions is currently seeking a Director, Asia-Pacific Communications, based in Singapore. Sitting within the Marketing organization, this role is communications-led at its core, with a strong emphasis on earned media, story placement and narrative leadership, supported by integrated marketing execution.

The successful candidate will elevate the Fitch Solutions brand across Asia-Pacific through proactive media engagement, compelling storytelling and disciplined communications strategy, while ensuring activity supports commercial priorities and business growth. The role will help strengthen Fitch Solutions’ external profile and tell a clearer, more connected story about our data, research, analytics and workflow capabilities.

We'll Count on You To:

Reporting to the Head of Brand and Marketing Communications, Fitch Solutions, the Director, Asia-Pacific Communications will be responsible for shaping and executing Fitch Solutions’ communications strategy in the region. The role will work closely with APAC commercial, research, product, marketing and leadership teams, as well as Group Communications and regional communications colleagues, to ensure Fitch Solutions shows up clearly, consistently and credibly in market.

The successful candidate will lead proactive media engagement, executive visibility, issues preparedness and thought leadership amplification across Asia-Pacific. They will identify regional opportunities to elevate Fitch Solutions’ expertise across credit, macro, country risk, structured finance, data, analytics, AI and workflow innovation, while ensuring communications activity supports business growth and reinforces the wider Fitch Solutions narrative.

The role requires close partnership across a global, matrixed organization. The candidate will collaborate with colleagues in Asia-Pacific, London, New York and other markets to connect regional priorities with global campaigns, major announcements, product launches, client events, executive communications and integrated marketing activity.

The candidate should bring strong corporate communications, media relations or journalism experience within financial services, capital markets, data, analytics or B2B information services. They should be comfortable advising senior stakeholders, working with market-sensitive content, and turning complex business and research themes into clear, timely and commercially relevant communications.

As part of an integrated marketing communications function, the candidate will work with specialists in brand, product marketing, campaigns, digital, social media, events, design and employee communications to deliver consistent messaging and visibility for Fitch Solutions across the region.

Core Responsibilities

Develop and execute Fitch Solutions’ Asia-Pacific communications strategy, aligned to regional business priorities and the global brand narrative.

Lead proactive media relations across APAC, building relationships with relevant financial, business, trade and specialist media.

Identify and package regional stories, research insights, product developments, data themes and executive perspectives for external audiences.

Provide strategic communications counsel to senior stakeholders, subject matter experts and business leaders across Fitch Solutions.

Support executive visibility in the region, including media interviews, speaking opportunities, briefing materials and market visits.

Write and edit press releases, media pitches, talking points, briefing notes, Q&A documents, bylines, event follow-ups and other communications materials.

Partner with research, product and commercial teams to translate complex market intelligence into clear, client-relevant narratives.

Support integrated campaigns, product launches, partnerships, events and thought leadership activity across earned, owned and shared channels.

Monitor regional media coverage, market developments and reputational issues, escalating and advising as appropriate.

Coordinate with Fitch Group and Fitch Ratings communications colleagues where messages, media activity or reputational considerations overlap.

Work with external agency partners where relevant, while retaining ownership of regional priorities, spokespeople and messaging.

Track and report communications impact, including coverage quality, message pull-through, share of voice, stakeholder engagement and campaign contribution.

Contribute to global communications planning, bringing APAC market insight and regional opportunities into broader Fitch Solutions campaigns.

Lead by example, supporting colleagues across the region and helping embed consistent communications standards and ways of working.

What You Need To Have

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Significant experience in corporate communications, media relations, marketing communications or journalism, ideally within financial services, capital markets, data, analytics or B2B information services.

Strong understanding of the Asia-Pacific media landscape and experience working with regional and international financial media.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editorial judgment and the ability to simplify complex subject matter.

Experience advising senior leaders and preparing spokespeople for interviews, events and external engagements.

Ability to operate effectively in a regulated, market-sensitive environment and respond calmly under time pressure.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, markets and time zones.

Collaborative working style and confidence operating in a global matrixed environment.

What Would Make You Stand Out

Deep knowledge of financial markets, credit, macroeconomics, structured finance, risk, data or financial technology.

Established relationships with tier-one financial media, global wires and APAC-based correspondents.
