Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Solar PV Electrician to join our clients dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting photovoltaic (PV) solar systems and to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help accelerate the transition to clean energy while providing top-quality service to our clients. Duties

• Install solar PV systems according to project specifications, electrical codes, and safety standards
• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, wire, and connect solar panels, inverters, and electrical components
• Conduct system inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure proper operation
• Maintain detailed records of installation processes, system configurations, and maintenance activities
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and site safety protocols
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing solar systems to maximize efficiency
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations at all times

Experience

• Proven experience working as an electrician with a focus on renewable energy or solar installations preferred
• Proficiency with hand tools such as pliers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and multimeters
• Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and torque wrenches
• Strong electrical experience with knowledge of wiring diagrams, circuit breakers, inverters, and electrical safety practices
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret electrical schematics accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or equivalent
• 18th Edition
• Solar Qualifications (desirable)
• AM2 (desirable)
