Stellenbeschreibung

Your Company:

NET Recruit is pleased to be partnering with a well-established and internationally recognised organisation in their search for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified finance professional to join a growing international business and play an important role in supporting financial reporting across multiple EMEA entities.

With operations spanning several European markets, the organisation is committed to maintaining high standards of financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance colleagues, local management teams, external auditors, and advisers across the region, gaining valuable exposure to international accounting and reporting.

Your Role and Responsibilities

While in this position, your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the monthly accounting and financial reporting process across multiple EMEA entities.
  • Preparing and posting standard journals, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Supporting the delivery of accurate monthly management accounts within agreed Group deadlines.
  • Maintaining fixed asset records and completing monthly depreciation processes.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies or variances.
  • Supporting standard cost maintenance within the company's ERP system.
  • Assisting with VAT returns, Intrastat submissions, and other statutory and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Supporting the preparation of annual statutory accounts and associated documentation.
  • Working closely with external auditors during interim and year-end audit processes.
  • Preparing audit schedules, reconciliations, working papers, and other supporting documentation.
  • Ensuring financial records and documentation remain accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Supporting the maintenance and improvement of effective financial controls.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline accounting and reporting processes.
  • Contributing to finance projects and wider cross-functional initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with Finance teams and local management across the EMEA region.
  • Providing support with ad hoc financial and accounting requirements as required.

What You Will Need to Apply:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified, or hold an equivalent relevant accounting qualification. Candidates with strong practical experience in financial or management accounting will also be considered.

You will have previous experience working within a financial accounting, management accounting, or similar finance environment, with a good understanding of general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.

Strong experience of month-end accounting is important, including the preparation of journals, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments. Experience working with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms, would be advantageous, alongside strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Exposure to statutory reporting, VAT, audit processes, or working across multiple entities would be beneficial. Experience working within an international or EMEA finance environment would also be highly advantageous.

You will be highly organised, accurate, and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while working to strict reporting deadlines. You should be comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across different functions and locations.

A proactive approach and willingness to identify opportunities for process improvement will be important, as the organisation is keen to continue developing the efficiency and effectiveness of its Finance function.

Experience of German accounting practices would be highly desirable, and candidates who are German-speaking would be particularly advantageous.

What You Will Get in Return:

In return for your skills and experience, the company is offering a salary of up to £50,000, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to develop your career within an established international organisation.

You will gain broad exposure to financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit, and international finance operations, working across multiple EMEA entities. This provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen your technical accounting knowledge while developing a broader understanding of international financial operations.

The organisation offers a hybrid working model, providing flexibility alongside the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Finance team.

You will also be joining a supportive environment where continuous improvement, professional development, and new ideas are encouraged. The role offers genuine scope to expand your responsibilities and develop your career as your experience grows.

If you are a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking for a varied Financial Accountant position with international exposure and the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, this could be an excellent next step in your career.
