Product Development Engineer (Yishun)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Product Design / Planning Department

Reports to: Assistant Manager/Manager

Functional Relationships with: Process Engineering, Machine Engineering, Production in Singapore and Japanese counterparts in Japan

Position Profile:

Based in: Yishun

Successful candidate will: Collaborate and participate in cost analysis, time study or productivity tracking to devise systems integrate Man, Machine, Material, and optimize operations and reduce waste.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

·      Support R&D engineering activities to achieve project objectives and timelines.

·      Assist in product evaluation, testing, and process improvement activities.

·      Analyze engineering data and support troubleshooting of product and process-related issues.

·      Work closely with cross-functional teams to support engineering projects.

·      Monitor process performance and ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.

·      Prepare technical reports, documentation, and records as required.

·      Support the evaluation of new materials, equipment, and technologies for product and process improvement.

·      Collaborate and communicate effectively with Japanese counterparts on R&D projects, technical discussions, and project coordination to ensure timely execution and alignment of engineering objectives.

Ability / Competency Required

·      Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

·      Minimum 1 year relevant experience is preferred. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Good communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Willingto learn and able to handle multiple tasks.

·      Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team.

·      Positive attitude and willing to work in a cleanroom environment.
