Senior Field Service Engineer (Power Generator) $4K – $6K + AWS + Variable Bonus (up to 3 months) Transport provided | Joo Koon MRT

Key Duties

·       Take the lead on-site for BESS installation and deployment

·       Commission systems, run testing, and see integration through to handover

·       Set up and configure electrical distribution boards; tie systems into diesel generators

·       Carry out electrical testing with multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters

·       Work from electrical schematics and single-line diagrams

·       Diagnose faults and get to the root cause

·       Track system performance and use the data to guide diagnostics

·       Keep work in line with electrical codes, IEC/UL standards, and safety regulations

·       Liaise with contractors, clients, and in-house engineering teams

·       Produce technical documentation, commissioning reports, and system records

·       Run basic system training for clients and partners

·       Support hybrid integration projects

·       Feed field insights back to product development to improve system performance

Requirements

·       Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar

·       3–5 years of relevant experience

·       Hands-on background in:

-Electrical installation and commissioning

-BESS, solar, or generator systems

-High-voltage systems and power electronics

·       Solid grounding in:

-Diesel generators and electrical distribution

-Inverters, power electronics, and energy storage safety practices

·       Comfortable reading and interpreting electrical drawings and single-line diagrams

·       Confident using electrical test equipment

·       Sharp troubleshooting and analytical ability

·       Open to regional travel

Nice to Have

Hybrid power system experience (BESS + diesel genset)

Exposure to SCADA or remote monitoring platforms

Understanding of grid interconnection requirements

Valid Electrician License or related certifications
