Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for a mixed vegetable rice / economy rice stall.

Prepare daily ingredients, including vegetables, meat, seafood, sauces and seasonings.

Cook different types of dishes such as stir-fried vegetables, meat dishes, braised dishes, fried dishes and other local-style dishes according to the menu.

Prepare and cook rice in the required quantity and ensure consistent quality.

Ensure all dishes are properly cooked, tasty and attractively presented.

Maintain consistency in taste, portion size and food quality.

Monitor food ingredients and ensure freshness and proper storage.

Follow proper food hygiene, food safety and kitchen sanitation procedures.

Manage cooking quantities according to daily customer demand to minimize food wastage.

Assist with menu preparation and recommend new dishes when required.

Check kitchen equipment and maintain a clean and organized cooking area.

Assist with stock checking and inform management when ingredients need to be replenished.

Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the employer.

Job Requirements:

Relevant experience in mixed vegetable rice, economy rice, Chinese cuisine or similar food establishments.

Good knowledge of Chinese-style cooking and food preparation.

Able to prepare multiple dishes efficiently during busy periods.

Able to work independently and as part of a kitchen team.

Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.

Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
