Recruit123 is helping our client to hire an Incident Responder / DFIR Specialist to join their cybersecurity team.
Our client is a Singapore-based organization looking for an experienced Incident Responder / Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) Specialist to investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and strengthen the organization's incident response capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support investigation of cybersecurity incidents, including malware infections, data breaches, and unauthorized access
Perform digital forensic analysis on compromised systems, including disk, memory, network, and log forensics
Conduct malware analysis to determine behavior, scope, and impact of security incidents
Identify root cause, attack timeline, and indicators of compromise (IOCs) for each incident
Coordinate incident response activities across technical teams, ensuring timely containment, eradication, and recovery
Prepare detailed incident reports, forensic findings, and post-incident reviews for stakeholders and management
Develop and refine incident response playbooks, procedures, and forensic methodologies
Maintain situational awareness of emerging threats, threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
Support tabletop exercises and incident response readiness testing
Liaise with law enforcement, regulators, or external forensic vendors where required for major incidents
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
Minimum 3–6 years of experience in incident response, digital forensics, or a related cybersecurity role (experience level flexible depending on specific client mandate)
Relevant certifications strongly preferred: GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, GNFA, or equivalent
Strong knowledge of forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, Volatility, X-Ways) and malware analysis techniques
Solid understanding of network protocols, operating system internals (Windows/Linux), and log analysis
Experience handling incidents in a SOC, CERT, or dedicated IR/forensics team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work calmly and effectively under pressure during live incidents
Excellent report-writing and communication skills, able to present findings to both technical and executive audiences
Willingness to be on-call for critical incident response support outside regular hours
