Procurement Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate, manage and maintain the procurement of capita land expense good and services.

Solicit competitive proposals from qualified suppliers.

Determine lowest total cost solution.

Develop, maintain and manage purchase orders.

Coordinate purchase process, negotiation and release of purchase order.

Provide support to the supplier audit process.

The point of contact for the procurement process between rig and vendor(s)

Coordinate communication between rig and vendors for clarification of correct goods to be furnished.

Communicate updates to assist overall operations / project coordination, cost control and scheduling.

Communicate effectively upward and downward.

Negotiate purchasing agreements.

Coordinate with export packer / freight forwarder to ensure accuracy of export documentation.

Expedite all open or past due purchase orders.

Manage the logistical process whereby goods are received, prepared for export and delivered to AIR or OCEAN transport carriers.

REQUIREMENTS

Familiarity with supplies and equipment used on a rig

Mechanical, interpersonal, and good communication skills

Experience on a rig or with a manufacturer or distributor

College degree preferred

Ability to multi-task and work in a high stress environment

Willing to travel

Knowledge of key industry suppliers

Strong computer skills
