Job Description & Requirements

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Carpenter to cut, fabricate, and install wooden and other structures according to specifications, working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements

Take accurate measurements and calculate the size and amount of materials needed

Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements

Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw or pre-constructed materials

Lay out floorings, roofings, or drywalls ensuring they are level and properly aligned

Carve, assemble, and install furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items at designated locations

Inspect sites and conduct repairs or maintenance on carpentry structures

Build scaffolding and other construction-related structures safely and securely

Required competencies and certifications

Proven experience as a carpenter, demonstrated by hands-on work with carpentry materials

Proficient use of electrical and manual tools and measurement instruments (e.g., powered saws, hammers, rulers)

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings accurately

Commitment to following safety guidelines consistently during all tasks

Good physical condition and endurance to perform physically demanding work

Availability to work night shifts, Sundays, public holidays, and irregular hours as required by customer demands
