Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building, installing, repairing, and finishing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials. As a carpenter, you will work on a variety of construction projects including residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans.

Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials.

Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, doors, cabinetry, and drywall.

Build frameworks including walls, floors, and doorframes.

Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.

Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Work with other construction professionals such as electricians and plumbers.

Ensure work is done according to specifications and building codes.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Job Requirements:

Experience: 2+ years of proven carpentry experience preferred.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship is a plus.

Skills:

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.

Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.

Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.

Other: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Work Environment:

Work may be indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

May involve working at heights or in confined spaces.
