WORKS TRAIN OPERATOR

Responsibilities & Requirements

Safely operate and monitor works trains during railway maintenance and construction activities

Adhere to established railway safety procedures, operating guidelines and worksite requirements.

Carry out routine pre-operation checks on the works train and related equipment.

Coordinate closely with site personnel and operations teams to support smooth and safe work activities.

Monitor train and equipment conditions and promptly report any defects, faults or operational concerns.

No prior experience required; training will be provided for suitable candidates.

Previous experience in railway, train operations, construction or a related environment will be an advantage.

Physically fit and medically suitable for worksite activities.

Willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays when required.

Good safety awareness with a responsible and disciplined approach to work.

Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Training and on-the-job guidance provided.
