Job Description

Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice to senior management and business stakeholders

Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and strategic contracts

Support commodities trading activities, including trading, logistics, finance and operational documentation

Lead legal workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and restructuring projects

Advise on banking, financing, fundraising and capital markets transactions

Manage disputes, arbitration matters and external legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions

Drive governance, compliance and risk management initiatives while supporting board-related matters

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

Qualified lawyer with admission to practice in a recognised jurisdiction

Minimum 3+ years of post-qualification experience gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house environment

Strong experience in corporate transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents

Exposure to at least two of the following areas: M&A, fundraising, capital markets, banking and finance, or commercial disputes

Experience advising on complex commercial agreements and business transactions

Ability to assess legal risks pragmatically and provide commercially balanced recommendations

Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior business leaders

Comfortable operating independently within a fast-paced and evolving environment
