Technical Sales Engineer

We are looking for a driven and outgoing Technical Sales Engineer to join a growing team within the construction and building materials industry. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys a mix of technical sales, client engagement and business development, with opportunities to work closely with contractors, architects, consultants and developers.

Key Responsibilities

Drive sales activities to achieve assigned sales targets and business objectives.

Develop new business opportunities and build a healthy pipeline of prospective clients.

Build and maintain long-term business relationships with main contractors, architects, consultants and developers.

Prepare and propose product specifications based on project and client requirements.

Conduct product presentations and provide technical information to clients and key stakeholders.

Understand customers' project requirements and recommend suitable product solutions.

Follow up on project opportunities from initial engagement through to sales conversion.

Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective customers to strengthen business relationships.

Keep updated on market developments, upcoming projects and competitor activities.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Building, Construction, Architecture or a related discipline would be advantageous.

Prior experience in technical sales, building materials or the construction industry is preferred.

Candidates with relevant technical knowledge who are keen to develop a career in sales may also be considered.

Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable engaging with contractors, consultants, architects and other industry stakeholders.

Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable working in a sales environment.
