Cook – Job Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present food according to established recipes and standards.

Perform food preparation, including cutting, chopping, marinating, seasoning, and portioning.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.

Ensure food is cooked to the required temperature and quality standards.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work areas.

Store food ingredients properly and follow FIFO procedures.

Assist with receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies.

Follow food safety and workplace health and safety procedures.

Support Chef de Partie and senior chefs during busy service periods.

Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages to the supervisor.

Reduce food waste through proper preparation, storage, and portion control.

Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining an organized workstation.
