Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced infrastructure professional to support enterprise compute and virtualization platforms in a high-availability environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining system stability, driving infrastructure improvements, and supporting critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the escalation point for complex infrastructure and virtualization issues

Diagnose and resolve cluster and host-level incidents across compute environments

Plan and execute hypervisor upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities

Manage server lifecycle including provisioning, capacity planning, and optimization

Ensure disaster recovery readiness through regular validation and testing

Monitor and maintain firmware and system compliance across infrastructure

Coordinate hardware replacements and work closely with vendors for issue resolution

Optimize virtual machine performance and resource utilization

Support integration with hybrid or cloud environments where applicable

Review and approve high-impact infrastructure changes

Ensure systems are configured for high availability and resilience

Conduct periodic health checks and performance reviews

Provide guidance to junior engineers and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and Nutanix AHV

Familiarity with hyperconverged infrastructure (e.g. Dell HCI)

Solid understanding of Windows Server and Linux (RHEL or similar)

Experience supporting DR, HA, and enterprise infrastructure environments

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
