Job Summary

Support capital markets operations by managing trade settlements, portfolio reporting, cash and FX reconciliations, and financial compliance. Lead process improvements and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure accurate financial management and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Provide trade support to the Head of Trading to ensure smooth settlement of trades with brokers and custodians

Deliver accurate and timely portfolio management reporting for the Capital team, including quarterly financials and P&L reporting on positions

Manage daily cash, trade, and FX transactions, ensuring accurate settlement and reconciliation of all activities

Lead special projects with the Head of Capital, including implementing automation and process improvements across back-office operations

Support preparation of monthly accounts and financial statements, and coordinate audit activities to ensure compliance and accuracy

Handle tax compliance, filings, and management fee allocations across multiple jurisdictions

Support KYC and onboarding processes for brokers, custodians, and other counterparties to maintain regulatory compliance

Review and approve payments, expenses, VAT, and GST returns to ensure timely and accurate financial processing

Maintain and update the Capital Markets playbook and other operational documentation as required

Lodge votes promptly for proxy voting and Annual General Meetings (AGM) to uphold shareholder governance

Perform additional finance and operational tasks as needed to support team objectives and business continuity

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field

Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA) is an advantage

Familiarity with both public and private markets

Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle and settlement cycles

Practical experience working with custodians, brokers, and fund administrators

Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial and P&L reporting, and tax regulations

Hands-on experience preparing management accounts, financial statements, and coordinating audits

Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives while managing detailed operational tasks

Effective working style with modest support and guidance

Ability to earn trust and collaborate with senior colleagues and stakeholders

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished professional demeanour

Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain composure under high standards
