About the opportunity

A well-established multinational group is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support its commercial operations. This is a senior individual contributor role offering broad exposure, direct engagement with business leaders and ownership of complex legal matters.

The role

You will act as a trusted legal partner to the business, providing practical and commercially focused advice. The role requires someone who can operate independently, lead negotiations and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including supply, services, distribution, procurement and technology-related contracts.

Advise senior stakeholders on commercial, operational and regulatory matters.

Lead contract negotiations and develop practical solutions that balance legal risk with business objectives.

Manage disputes, claims and other contentious matters, including coordinating with external counsel.

Support regional projects, strategic initiatives and cross-border transactions.

Improve legal templates, policies, approval processes and contract-management practices.

Conduct legal training and provide guidance to business teams.

Support and mentor junior team members where required.

Requirements

Qualified lawyer with more than 5 years of post-qualification experience.

Strong commercial contracting and negotiation experience gained in private practice and/or an in-house legal role.

Able to independently manage complex matters and advise senior business stakeholders.

Commercially minded, solutions-oriented and comfortable working across different functions and jurisdictions.

Strong communication, stakeholder-management and organisational skills.
