Senior Technical Engineer (QA/QC, supplier quality)

Our client is from Building Materials / Construction Products industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a  Senior Technical Engineer to support and strengthen their operations team. They are located in the  North – easily accessible.

Responsibilities

Lead the Technical & QC/QA functions, managing engineers and QA/QC personnel while establishing department standards, processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide technical and product application support to customers, Sales and Business Development teams, including troubleshooting, product recommendations, technical documentation and training.

Oversee QC/QA and product quality, ensuring inspection standards, quality processes, audits, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions are effectively implemented.

Manage Engineering Change & Drawing Control, including SKU engineering history, drawing revisions, product specifications and assessing the impact of changes on quality, certification, inspection and customer requirements.

Strengthen supplier quality and change control, conducting supplier audits and qualification, monitoring supplier compliance, and ensuring any changes to materials, processes, tooling or specifications are properly assessed and approved.

Drive customer complaint resolution, product certification and internal risk control, leading technical investigations, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing certification/testing requirements and improving workflows to prevent recurring issues.

Requirements

Min Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering, QA/QC, supplier quality, manufacturing or technical support experience.

Experience leading engineers, technical staff or QC/QA personnel is preferred.

Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, inspection methods, supplier quality control and engineering change control.
