Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Regional Sales Manager to lead business development and sales activities across an assigned regional market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing regional sales strategies, expanding market presence, managing key customer relationships and driving revenue growth across the marine, shipping and offshore sectors.

This role will involve regular engagement with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, marine contractors, offshore operators and other key maritime stakeholders, with a strong focus on marine equipment, technical products and service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute regional sales and business development strategies.

Take ownership of sales targets, revenue growth and market expansion across the assigned region.

Identify new markets, customers and business opportunities within the marine and offshore sectors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key shipowners, ship managers, shipyards and maritime organisations.

Manage and grow strategic and key customer accounts across the region.

Develop long-term customer partnerships and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Conduct regular customer visits, business meetings, presentations and technical/commercial discussions.

Understand customer requirements and work with technical teams to propose appropriate equipment, products and solutions.

Lead commercial negotiations, quotations, tenders and proposals through to successful order closure.

Maintain and develop a strong regional sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.

Monitor market developments, competitor activities, pricing and emerging opportunities.

Develop channel partners, distributors and agents where required.

Work closely with service, engineering, operations and product teams to ensure effective customer support.

Represent the company at maritime exhibitions, conferences, networking events and industry meetings.

Provide regular reports on sales performance, market development, customer activity and business opportunities.

Ensure customer and sales information is accurately maintained within CRM systems.

Travel extensively across the assigned territory to develop relationships and secure new business.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related discipline.

7+ years of sales, business development or commercial experience, preferably within the marine, shipping, offshore or industrial equipment industry.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business across multiple markets.

Strong network and established relationships with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards or marine operators.

Experience selling marine equipment, machinery, technical products, spare parts or engineering/service solutions is highly advantageous.

Strong understanding of vessel operations and the marine industry.

Experience managing key accounts and regional customers.

Excellent commercial, negotiation and presentation skills.

Strong business development and relationship-building capabilities.

Ability to operate independently while working effectively with regional and global teams.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Willingness to travel extensively within APAC and other assigned markets.
