Chemical/ Wastewater Treatment Technician

Our esteemed client in the Environmental Services industry is seeking a Chemical/ Wastewater Treatment Technician to join their dynamic team:

Employment Type: Permanent

Position: Chemical/ Wastewater Treatment Technician

Location: Tuas (Transport provided)

Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm; Sat, 8am to 12pm) – Will change to 12 hours rotating shift after 3 months

Salary Package: Basic + OT + Shift Allowances + Transport Allowance

Job Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and plant facilities.

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability.

Support daily plant operations, including material transfer and operation of pumps, filtration, and separation equipment.

Ensure all equipment, instruments, and systems are properly maintained, calibrated, and serviced.

Monitor treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Maintain accurate operational records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Observe workplace safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.

Perform other operational duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

At least NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience in wastewater treatment, utilities, process plants, manufacturing, or industrial operations is advantageous.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer applications.

Able to perform overtime and shift work when required.

Comfortable working in an industrial plant environment.
